Biography

Tinashe Enock Mwadiwa is the Social Statistics Manager at the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZIMSTAT) a role that he assumed in 2021. The portfolio includes gender statistics, health statistics, educations statistics, crime and prison statistics; and living conditions statistics. Prior to 2021, he worked as a Statistician responsible for Gender Statistics and Vital Statistics.

His current responsibilities include mainstreaming gender in the statistical production process to ensure that all statistics coming out of the Agency carry a gender perspective.

Tinashe has been central in the production of all Gender Statistics Reports produced by ZIMSTAT. His wish to work in the gender statistics sector is to see policy formulation and implementation that is informed by credible data.

Tinashe has represented his country in various national, regional and global groupings that deal with gender statistics.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Statistics and Geography and a Master of Science in Population Studies.
