Maria Isabel Ibañez Browne

Biography

María Isabel Ibañez Browne is a sociologist with a master´s degree in Inequalities and Social Science. Currently, she is the head of the Gender Statistics Subdepartment at the Nacional Statistics Office of Chile (INE). She is responsible for planning, monitoring, and developing the detection of needs, design, processing, analysis, and communication of results of the productive processes associated with gender statistics. In addition, she is responsible of provide technical and methodological support for the incorporation of the gender perspective in the statistical operations of the INE, in accordance with the objectives and standards of the institution.
