Classification structure
2 (a)Please describe the structure of the classification: How many levels does the classification have? (Please provide labels, such as “Division”, “Class”) How many categories exist at each level?Albanian classifications NVE Rev1.1 is identical with european classifications NACE Rev.1.1 as it is it has 17 divisions, 62 groups and 513 classes.
2 (b)Please provide examples of the coding system used at each level.National Registration Center, NRC, put for the first time economic code (Nace Rev1.1 in 4 digit level). INSTAT received from NRC the database of enterprises with code of economic activity in 4 digit level and description by words declaring by interpreneur, as well. INSTAT checked and controlled manually (one by one) all codes and descriptions and based on this information INSTAT update business register. Sample frame for each economic survey is designed based on business register. All changes of economic activity code come from surveys and other administrative sources are used for updating NACE Rev1.1 code and descriptions of enterpises in business register. The update process in BR is made in yearly basis.

Classification uses
4 (a)Please state for which statistical purposes (surveys etc.) this classification is used and if there are users outside of the Statistical Office. Please indicate at which level the classification is used for data collection and for data publishing.NVE rev.1.1 is used for statistical surveys (such as SBS, STS, PPI, etc), National Account, Labour force indicators, and as well it is used in VAT file, Social insurance, external trade data used for statistical purposes.
For data collection NVE rev1.1 is used in 4digit level and for publication the classification is used in group level created for publishing of the results of each indicator (as i.e in domains publication).
4 (b)Please give the names of institutions that use the classification for non-statistical purposes (as opposed to statistical purposes in question 4(a)). Also indicate the kind of use (e.g. tax offices, social security, customs, enterprise register, employment services, work permits etc.)NVE rev.1.1 classifciation is used from National Registration Center (NRC) in 4 digit level for registration of new units, from Tax Office for codification units in 4 digit level, Chamber of Commerce in four digit level, Business Guide, etc.

Are these classifications available and useful for the Statistical Office?No, other alternative classification is used by other institutions of the economy. From other institutions the NVE Rev.1.1 is used as well.

Other comments
9 (a)Please provide any other information on this classification that you consider relevantINSTAT since 2010 has started implementation of NACE rev.2 in Business Register means the BR 2010, 2011 and 2012 are with double code, NACE Rev.1.1 and NACE Rev.2 as well. This classification is used from Economic Directory in statistical surveys for internal use. The legal base for implementation of NACE rev.2 in all statistical publication and other instituions is in process.
