Classification structure
2 (a)Please describe the structure of the classification: How many levels does the classification have? (Please provide labels, such as “Division”, “Class”) How many categories exist at each level?ŞİMT consists of 14 divisions, 58 groups, 157 classes, 517 types (national code)
ŞİMT has 5 levels. Code structure of ŞİMT is as follows:
XX - division
XX.X - group
XX.X.X - class
XX.X.X.XX - category
First four levels are the same with international standard of COICOP

Please indicate at which level the classification is used for data collection and for data publishing.ŞİMT uses for statistical analyses in System of National Accounts and households.

Also indicate the kind of use (e.g. tax offices, social security, customs, enterprise register, employment services, work permits etc.)ŞİMT is used by Research Institutes for non-statistical purposes.

If not yet adopted, please indicate the current state (e.g. in development, sent for approval, in printing, ready to be distributed etc.)ŞİMT was adopted by the college of the State Statistical Committee on 25 September 2002 and by the State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Standardization, Metrology and Patent by order N 02 on 09 October 2002 as state standard in the territory of the country.
