The Statistics Advisory Board, on which both the public and the private sectors are represented, advises the Census and Statistics Department on important statistical plans and proposals. The Board meets twice each year to review the development of various activities of the Government Statistical Service (GSS). The Board is a non-statutory advisory body chaired by the Commissioner for Census and Statistics and consists of 11 non-official members and 3 official members. The Board has been providing valuable advice to the Commissioner on statistical matters pertaining to GSS.
