The sample is extracted from a Monthly Industrial Survey of Employment and Salary (PIMES), a derivative of CEMPRE (Cadastro Central de Empresas).
The CEMPRE consists of information from administrative records for the Annual Social Information (RAIS), the General Register of Employed and Unemployed (CAGED) and the annual surveys of the IBGE in industry, commerce, services and construction.
