2008 Worldwide consultation on draft of revised MSITS

The Manual on Statistics of International Trade in Services, first published in 2002, is currently being revised. This consultation document was prepared by the Interagency Task Force on Statistics of International Trade in Services (TFSITS) which is in charge of the update and which is comprised of the following members: the Statistical Office of the European Communities (Eurostat), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

The OECD Statistics Directorate prepared a document titled "PROPOSALS FOR THE CLASSIFICATION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PRODUCTS IN MSITS AND EBOPS" which was presented at the first meeting of the OECD Working Party on Trade in Goods and Trade in Services (22-24 Sep 2008, Paris). Please find the document below for your information. These proposals are not incorporated in the draft chapters but can be read in conjunction with the draft chapters of the revised MSITS.
