How can I download data greater than 150,000 records from UN Comtrade?
Q: How can I download data greater than 150,000 records from UN Comtrade?
A: MS Excel can only handle up to 67,000 records. You will need to feed the
output
into MS Access for larger data sets.
You will need to choose the "Submit to Batch Processing" option when you complete your selection procedure instead of using "Submit Query".
Using the UN Comtrade Batch Processing allows the system to submit your query directly to the server, and allows it to be executed in the background (unattended download). Once the extraction is complete, you will be notified via email and you will be provided a link to download the file (compressed using ZIP format).
