Revision of principles and recommendations for a vital statistics system 9:00 - 9:45 am 27 February 2013, Wednesday Venue: Conference room 3 (TNLB) United Nations, New York

Following on the recommendations of the Expert Group Meeting held in 2011 and subsequent comments and suggestions, the United Nations Statistics Division prepared the Principles and Recommendations for Vital Statistics System, Revision 2. The Division will present the rationale behind the revision, results of the circular dispatched to national statistical authorities on this subject, recommendations of the Expert Group and the content and major points of the revised version of principles and recommendations.
