This Learning Centre will discuss how to improve the linkages between geospatial information and statistical information. One way of improving the linkages would be to develop a statistical spatial framework. The framework will be described in the main presentation; a developing country will share its national practice and experience in the integration of statistical and geospatial information for dissemination; and an Internet-based demonstration will be presented to showcase the use of web services and cloud-based applications, illustrating the significant value of integrating socio-economic information with geospatial information.
