Dialogue on Statistical Development
with International Agencies

Conference Room 3
Thursday, 26 February 2008
3:00 – 5:00 pm

The “Dialogue on Statistical Development with International Agencies” is a regular side event of the UN Statistical Commission intended to foster the dialogue across the statistical community on issues related to capacity building, and to increase the understanding of the impact of statistical development initiatives and programmes. It serves as a forum to encourage an exchange between national chief statisticians and international agencies on existing and planned initiatives in advancing the global statistical system.

This event will be an opportunity for international agencies to present an overview of their programmes and for country representatives to provide a feedback based on their needs and experience. Each representative from international agencies will give a brief presentation on their programmes on statistical development. Presentations will be followed by a discussion on the programmes presented.
