United Nations Statistical Commission

Overview   38th Session (2007)


This session also marked the 60th anniversary of the Statistical Commission, and the Statistics Division/DESA, as the Commission's secretariat held a number of special events to commemorate and celebrate this historical occasion.

Membership

The Statistical Commission consists of 24 member countries of the United Nations, elected by the United Nations Economic and Social Council on the basis of an equitable geographical distribution. The term of office of members is four years.
