(a) Recording of interest on debt securities. We were unhappy with the process that lead to the endorsement of the “debtor” approach as the preferred basis
(b) Definition of basic prices with regard to transportation costs. The current SNA treatment is inconsistent with the BPM treatment of transport costs. Also, it severely reduces the usefulness of I-O tables for analytical purposes.
Both of these issues were considered by the AEG and rejected, on a majority basis, for inclusion in the list of issues for consideration. However, Australia`s position is that there are good reasons why they should be considered. |
