| Clarification description | | IMF The definition of establishment in 1993 SNA paragraph 5.21 includes the confusing words: “... in which the principal productive activity accounts for most of the value added.” Some people may read “most” as “more than 50%.” If they don’t, this section is a tautology, because paragraph 5.7 defines a principal activity as the activity whose value added exceeds that of any other activity carried out within the same unit. |
