TIME SAMPLE
Covers whole year (February 1998
to January 1999) on a continuous (monthly) basis;
sample was evenly distributed over 12 months to represent
seasonal variation; sample represented each day of
the week-- respondents were assigned one designated
day
REFERENCE POPULATION
Description
National (excluding residents of
the Yukon, Nunavut and Northwest Territories); household
population; all persons 15 years of age or over
Sample selection
Household sample was selected using
the Elimination of Non-Working Banks technique of
Random Digit Dialing; one eligible person per household
was selected to provide data on time-use; 77.6 percent
overall response rate
