Zinc and zinc ore
Description A metal resistant to atmospheric corrosion used in building and to form protective coverings for other metals especially iron and steel, and in the manufacture of alloys for manufacturing. The principal ores are zinc sulphide, zinc hydrosilicate, sinc carbonate and zinc oxide. (CCC, 1986, sect. V, chap. 26)
