A report  on the results of the Global Assessment of Energy Accounts was prepared for the 40th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission. |
| Main objectives of the Global Assessment of Energy Accounts: |
 | To obtain an in-depth understanding of country practices in the compilation of energy accounts; |
| To contribute to the development of the SEEA-Energy; and |
| To assist with the development of targeted technical cooperation activities in this area. |
| The United Nations Statistics Division conducted the Global Assessment of Energy Accounts under the auspices of the UN Committee of Experts on Environmental-Economic Accounting (UNCEEA). |
