The United Nations World Water Assessment Programme (WWAP) and the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) produced this briefing note to promote the SEEA-Water and the IRWS as the monitoring frameworks for water. Both were adopted by the United Nations Statistics Commission to provide statistical standards for water information.
