Global Assessment of Energy Accounts

The Global Assessment of Energy Accounts has been developed by UNSD under the auspices of the UN Committee of Experts on Environmental-Economic Accounting (UNCEEA).

The main objectives are:
  • To obtain an in-depth understanding of country practices in the compilation of energy accounts;

  • To contribute to the development of the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting for Energy (SEEA-E); and

  • To assist with the development of targeted technical cooperation activities in this area.

    The results of the assessment will be used by various stakeholders including UNSD and the United Nations Committee of Experts on Environmental-Economic Accounting. The deadline for responding is 12 May 2008.
