Promotion and implementation

The UN Committee of Experts on Environmental-Economic Accounting is working towards raising awareness of environmental-economic accounting through
  • Promoting the SEEA implementation in countries
  • Encouraging exchanges of best practices among countries
  • Developing technical recommendations on the compilation, harmonization and dissemination of the accounts
  • Linking the accounts to indicators
  • Developing a closer relationship between the users and producers of environmental-economic accounts and related statistics
  • Fostering coordination among agencies on the SEEA implementation
