Explanatory note

Includes:
- Preparing and serving food
- Cleaning, sweeping etc. of dwelling and surroundings
- Clothes care
- All aspects of household management
- Shopping
- Travel in relation to the activities in this major division
Note: Unpaid domestic services for own final use within the household are considered work in relation to the general production boundary (housework) but not in relation to the SNA production boundary.


Exclusion: Unpaid domestic services performed for other households is classified under major division 08.
