Explanatory note This class includes manufacture of non-electric furnaces and ovens for roasting, melting or other heat-treatment of ores, pyrites, non-metallic minerals, metals or other materials. Manufacture of: - electric furnaces or ovens including induction or dielectric furnaces and ovens. - industrial and laboratory electric induction and dielectric heating equipment, including incinerators. - burners for liquid fuel, for pulverised solid fuel or for gas. - mechanical stokers, mechanical grates, mechanical ash dischargers and similar appliances. Exclusions: Manufacture of plant and equipment designed to raise the temperature of food, beverages or tobacco is classified in class 2925 (Manufacture of machinery for food, beverage and tobacco processing). Manufacture of non-electric bakery ovens is also classified in class 2925. Manufacture of plant and equipment designed to raise the temperature of pulp, paper, or other industrial materials is classified in class 2929 (Manufacture of other special purpose machinery). Manufacture of medical, surgical or laboratory sterilizers is classified in class 3311 (Manufacture of medical and surgical equipment and orthopaedic appliances).
