Breakdown:

This Division is divided into the following Groups:

  • 101 - Mining and agglomeration of hard coal
  • 102 - Mining and agglomeration of lignite
  • 103 - Extraction and agglomeration of peat
Explanatory note

The extraction of solid mineral fuels covers underground or open-cast mining and includes operations (e.g. grading, cleaning etc.) leading to a marketable product including briquetting (e.g. briquettes and ovoids). It does not include coking (see 2310).
