The division is marked with the Latin letters A-U, structure of code is XX. XX.XX (XX- section, .XX- group, class, XX - order, sub-order).
|Relationship to international standards|

Please use examples, if a general statement is not possible.||Classification of product by types of activities is based on CPA-2008 European classification. The national classification is fully consistent with the European classification, translation has been done into Armenian for applying it.|

(Please provide examples of programmes / indicators if reporting takes place at different levels of the classification.)||All data collected by using national classifications based on the international classifications could be communicated for international comparison. For example, in 3c item of NACE Rev.2, data grouped in fourth digit level for sure could be communicated for international comparison.|
|3 (e)||If no links to international classifications exist or no international standard is used, please state if there are plans to use international norms in the future.||For the developed National classification based on international classifications, the Guidelines are obligatory given that are in compliance with to international standards.|

Are these classifications available and useful for the Statistical Office?||Classification of product by types activities is used by subject-matter units of Statistical Service for the grouping of collected data related to economic units by economic activity.|
All the mentioned classifications are placed on official Website of the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia www.armatat.am, in PDF format. Hard copies of the Classification of types of economic activities has been also provided to the NSS RA`s regional agencies.

It has been used since the day of publication.
Classification of product by types activities - 2011 has been used by replacing the Classification of product by types activities - 2004. Classification of products activity - 2004 contained 17 divisions, 60 sections, 222 groups, 503 classes. Conversion table has been developed and placed on NSS RA `s website that allows recoding the product by names.

Besides in 2011, the NSS RA has also elaborated guidelines "On Indication of Economic Types of Activities by Taxpayers in Tax Reporting Forms".
|6 (b)||Do correspondence tables exist between the national and the international classifications (if applicable)?||According to Article 66 "Statistical cooperation" of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement signed in 1996 between EU and Armenia (entered into force on 1 July 1999) |
"The Parties, in particular, shall cooperate in the following fields: adaptation of the Armenian statistical system to international methods, standards and classification";
According to that and stipulated by the necessity to create a single system of classification and coding of technical, economic and social information in the Republic of Armenia, the Government of the Republic of Armenia has approved the Resolution No.146 dated 23.05.97 "On elaboration and implementation of the program on creation and introduction of the single system of classification and coding of technical, economic and social information in the Republic of Armenia" that is aimed at coordination of activities in the field of classifications.
All those applied in RA and above mentioned classifications are developed and correspond to international, including European classifications.

|6 (d)||Does a national coding index exist?||For the development of national versions of Economic Classifications the structure and coding system of relevant European classifications are used, but for the expression of peculiarities of the national economy, the groupings are detailed by additional levels without breaking main and reserve positions.|
