The Central Statistics Office conducted a Housing and Population Census in year 2000.
Census 2000 was the seventeenth for the Island of Mauritius and the seventh for the
Island of Rodrigues. This documents describes in detail the methodology of the 2000 Census.

This document is Volume 1 of the Analytical Reports on the 2000 Population and Housing Census.
