The 2009 Vietnam Population and Housing Census

This paper summarizes the recent population censuses in Vietnam and presents some achievements and experiences gained from the last 1999 population and housing census. It describes furthermore the preparation of the General Statistics Office (GSO) for the next 2009 census taking and its overall plan.
