This paper by the Central Statistical Office of Poland focuses on the following subjects regarding Polish censuses and problems related to them: (a) combining national population and housing census with agricultural census; (b) national census as a source of information on international migration; (c) dissemination the census results; (d) significance of the promotion of censuses. Paper presented at the 2006 plenary session of the Conference of European Statisticians (CES) in Paris (13-15 June 2006).
