The paper discusses the recommended topics, tabulations, and census management (based on the UN publication “Principles and Recommendations for Population and Housing Censuses, Revision 2”) in the context of the census in Chad [in French]. It presents the experience from the 1993 census in Chad and the preparations for the next census.

The paper was prepared in the context of the “United Nations Workshop on the 2010 World Programme on Population and Housing Censuses, Bamako, Mali, 6 – 9 November 2006”.
