Population and Housing Census in Zambia


The papers discuss the recommended topics, tabulations, and census management (based on the UN publication “Principles and Recommendations for Population and Housing Censuses, Revision 2”) in the context of the Zambian census. They present in short the experience from the 2000 census in Zambia and in greater detail the plans for the 2010 census including possible constraints.

The papers were prepared in the context of the “United Nations Workshop on the 2010 World Programme on Population and Housing Censuses, Maputo, Mozambique, 30 October – 2 November 2006”.
