The paper presents the experience from the 2004 census in Sierra Leone as well as plans for the 2014 census including problems anticipated.

The paper was prepared in the context of the “United Nations Workshop on the 2010 World Programme on Population and Housing Censuses, Maputo, Mozambique, 30 October – 2 November 2006”.
