Population and Housing Census in Kenya


The papers present the experience from the 1999 census in Botswana as well as preparations for the 2009 census. They discuss the recommended core topics, tabulations, census management and other issues (based on the UN publication “Principles and Recommendations for Population and Housing Censuses, Revision 2”) in the context of the Kenyan census.

The paper was prepared in the context of the “United Nations Workshop on the 2010 World Programme on Population and Housing Censuses, Maputo, Mozambique, 30 October – 2 November 2006”.
