The first register-based Census in Norway in 2011: How to comply with international recommendations?...
This paper by Espen Andersen and Harald Utne (Statistics Norway) discusses implications of the 2011 census in Norway. This census is expected to be totally register-based, using data from administrative registers. The paper presents some of the challenges that are likely to be faced by Norway in terms of complying with international census recommendations and discusses the necessary improvements. Paper presented at the Seminar on 'Registers in Statistics - methodology and quality' hosted by Statistics Finland, Helsinki, Finland (21-23 May 2007).
