Inventory of groups, task teams and other coordination mechanisms in the International Statistical System

During its 12th session in September 2008, the Committee for the Coordination of Statistical Activities (CCSA) (document SA/2008/24) requested the Statistical Office of the European Communities (Eurostat) to complete the Inventory of groups, task teams and other coordination mechanisms in the International Statistical System.

The inventory gives a fairly comprehensive overview of the working groups operating at the international level, organised by subject matter. Its overall objective is to serve as a rolling list of reference with regular updates from all international organizations involved. The completion of the Inventory is considered an important step towards holding the number of international working groups tight and avoiding duplication in their work and efforts.

The Inventory will be updated on a biannual basis by Eurostat.
