Annual Totals Table (ATT) for Imports and Exports

The Annual Totals Table (ATT) of the International Merchandise Trade Statistics Section (IMTSS) of the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) provides annual totals of imports and exports for all countries beginning with the year 2000 for which such data are available for publication.

The ATT addresses the issue that data users are often confronted with different totals provided by different sources.

For further information please refer to the enclosed introduction:

Introduction of the UNSD Annual Total Table (ATT).pdf

The ATT is provided at least once a year. The current, second edition of the ATT has been produced with information available as of 8 October 2008:

UNSD Annual Totals Trade (ATT) 2000-2007 (as of 10 October 2008).xls
(second edition)

UNSD Annual Totals Table (ATT) 2000-2006 (as of 26 July 2007).xls
(first edition)

Common Data Set

The ATT is an effort to reconcile and explain any differences in the merchandise trade data published by UNSD. The Common Data Set (CDS) is a joint effort by Eurostat, OECD, UNSD, UNCTAD and WTO to reconcile their time series on merchandise trade statistics which is more strict in its goal to reconcile all differences. For more information regarding the CDS please go to the website of the World Trade Organization at http://imts.wto.org/task_e.htm
